MidFexers Grafting at Studio Gang

On April 11, 2025 several club members went over to Studio Gang, the Chicago studio for Jeannie Gang’s architectural practice. The world famous architect just published a book titled: ‘The Art of Architectural Grafting’. 

So she wanted to show her talented staff what real grafting was about and that is where MidFex comes in, ha!  Ben B, Jeff P, Shawn F, and JW Glass were able to attend and represent the club. The venue was the rooftop classroom with native plants on the circa 1930s art deco building on Division Street. Ben had prepared a shorter presentation on grafting to present to staff. The club provided scion and rootstock for the event. Everyone that attended walked out with a newly grafted tree.
