Pruning Workshop – Winnetka

Learn to cut with confidence at one of Cook County Extension’s fruit tree pruning workshops this winter. After a demonstration and introduction to the principles of pruning, our instructors will guide you through hands-on implementation.

You are welcome to join us for one, or all of these workshops:

Jan 21, 10 am – 12 noon at Backyard Flower Lab, Winnetka
Jan 21,  1 – 3 pm at the Talking Farm, Skokie
Feb 7, 10 am – 12 noon at Farmworks in Chicago (westside), in partnership with Neighborspace
Feb 20,  10 am – 12 noon  at 71st & Crandon Organic Garden, SouthShore Chicago; in partnership with Neighborspace

If you have your own tools and gloves, please bring them and be sure to dress for the winter weather. We will only cancel in the event of SEVERE weather. Please include your phone number so we can contact you in case of a short-notice cancellation.

These events are open to the public and free to attend, but pre-registration is required.  Please understand that due to insurance purposes, no children under the age of 5 may be permitted on-site.
